...Completely overhauling CDE. That's all I've done besides working since yesterday, and damned if I didn't finally realize how obsolete the programming was.

I think as long as you're doing what you want and you're happy, then you've succeeded. You don't have to go after anything specific, life is what you make of it, so do what you want! If you are happy with what you've done in life, you've succeeded. I made the mistake of trying to please my parents for many years and it set me back and confused me. Now I'm on track. I'm not rich, I'm not famous, I'm not changing history, but I'm happy. That's enough for me. Pleasing parents is just impossible. This is why there is no success when dealing with them. Until you are out on your own, able to support yourself and perhaps a significant other, then I think that is reason enough to feel successful. ![]() |

some times i compare friendships that ppl have and wish i had good friends like that. One that stick by your side no matter what happens. i used to have friends like that but not so much anymore.
so i compare myself to ppl and mostly am just jealous of the good realations that they have in their life |

In the immortal words of Socrates on success: I have no goddamn idea. Screw it, let's get drunk (that may be paraphrasing a little bit) But I figure as long as I'm not dead before I hit 50, and somehow manage to pass my knowledge and wisdom, most of which constitutes how to make a beer bong out of household materials in less than fifteen minutes, I'll be pretty happy with it all. You amuse me. What success means to me is completing something 100% Success isn't just your typical "I got a career i went to college for!" Success is something everyone should feel and should be incomparable to others' success stories. So what if you graduated college? Nobbs can make a Beer Bong out of household materials in under 15 minutes! Both successful stories, and to my belief, one success is not of greater or lesser value than the other. I can beat a Final fantasy game and still feel as successful. That's what it means to me. A sense of accomplishment. |
